The 3D Studio 2030 is an 80-square-meter house was built to showcase the potential of 3D concrete printing for affordable housing in Saudi Arabia.

Commissioned by the Ministry of Housing, the project aligns with the country’s goal of constructing 1.5 million homes using innovative technologies by 2030.

Located in the Saudi desert, the single-bedroom house was printed on-site with 27 walls and 21 parapets completed in just one week. Windows, doors, and electrical sockets were then added. The project also served to train local operators for future 3D printing endeavours.

Completed in five weeks, the project highlighted the efficiency of 3D concrete printing, reducing costs and construction time.
